I have been making my own lampwork glass beads since 2010, having previously collected these for several years, just for their beauty. I use glass from Italy, USA and beyond to offer the widest range of colours in my work.
Lampwork beads are made by melting glass rods and wrapping the molten glass onto metal mandrels. My beads are then decorated using other glass, blown glass shards, crushed glass frit or fine (99.9% pure) silver before going straight from flame to kiln to be annealed for strength and durability.
I use my beads, sometimes with my sea glass beads, to make original jewellery; something a little different, I hope.
